As the Global CEO of the Dalton Group of Companies, Peter Martin has driven the strategy behind some of the world’s greatest crisis management and risk mitigation providers for over 30 years. Today, he is actively looking to acquire gold star organizations in the security, intelligence, and technology space that complement the already impressive Dalton portfolio, including AFIMAC, FocusPoint International, and ISB Global Services.

Peter continues to be a highly recognizable figure in the security and duty of care industry, collaborating across global markets by forging long-lasting partnerships and offering best-in-class services to Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

Mr. Greg Pearson is the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of FocusPoint International. Greg is an industry veteran with over 30 years of proven experience in the security and risk management space. Greg has successfully led diverse teams engaged in executing critical missions for both public and private organizations, operating globally in well over 120 countries. Greg’s experience and exposure include living and working overseas while serving in rapid deployment units as a non-commissioned officer in the US Army; as a law enforcement officer with the State of California; and as an executive engaged in scaling businesses through strategic mergers, acquisitions, and organic growth.

Greg has a passion for scaling growth-oriented businesses, product innovation, and market disruption. Core competencies and areas of focus center on crisis management, with an emphasis on advising and responding to matters related to kidnap for ransom, extortion, political risks, and travel risk management. Greg is the chief architect of CAP, the company’s flagship travel assistance solution, that addresses medical and travel security-related issues that impact business and leisure travelers.

Greg earned his education in crisis management and strategic leadership from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. He is a frequent speaker and has written and contributed to articles on travel risk management, security implications in emerging markets, kidnap for ransom, and crisis management. He is a member of several industry-specific trade organizations and a constituent of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC).

James Scally

James Scally

Chief Financial Officer

James Scally is the Chief Financial Officer of FocusPoint International. James brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and financial planning. In his role, he is responsible for developing and overseeing financial accounting and treasury policy, and for managing all the financial affairs of the corporation.

After obtaining his Certified Public Accountant, CPA license, Mr. Scally practiced in public accounting and internal audits prior to moving to the operational side of the business. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting from Kent State University. He also received his Executive MBA from Baldwin Wallace College, where he studied in the areas of executive management, problem-solving, effective communication, finance operations, group dynamics, team leadership, human resources management, organizational structure and behavior, and international awareness. James is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).

Dr. Michael Odinet

Chief Medical Officer

Dr.Michael Odinet is the Chief Medical Officer for FocusPoint International. Dr. Odinet was born and raised in Arabi La. He attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of the football team and graduated with a BS in Microbiology. Dr. Odinet then attended medical school at LSUHSC in New Orleans, graduating in 2002. Michael completed four years of Emergency Medicine residency training at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, where he served as chief resident in his last year. During that time, Dr. Odinet coordinated all resident duties and schedules during hurricane Katrina and spent 6 days in the hospital caring for patients with minimal resources and no power. After the evacuation, he led efforts to perform search and rescue for trapped citizens in their homes. Coordinating with the military, he then set up mobile medical units throughout the city to care for patients 24 hours a day until rescue efforts were completed. Dr. Odinet eventually established a temporary hospital, while revisions could be made to the LSU interim hospital that is being used today.

After completion of his training, Dr. Odinet was offered a full-time academic faculty position at LSU. He accepted this while also pursuing medicine for a private practice, which brought him to Lafayette in 2006. Dr. Odinet has served on the Medical Executive Committee for the last 3 years at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital.

Stephen Anderson

Stephen Anderson

SVP Client Excellence and Marketing

Mr. Stephen Anderson has developed a unique knowledge base in the area of security, travel-related marketing, and management. He started off managing an airport hotel staff of 30, where he liaised with federal authorities on many travel security-related investigations and was given full airport security clearance with the RCMP. He later worked for a major hotel building developer where he managed the sales and marketing team, coordinated security and public access plans for the new development in Toronto, Canada.

Since joining FocusPoint, Stephen directs and administers an internal marketing and client excellence team, coordinates all initiatives in relation to marketing, advertising, communications, trade shows, and events for FocusPoint and each of its sister companies globally.

Stephen is also trained in Personal Security Awareness, Self-Applied Protective Measures, and Travel Security for Overseas Business Travelers. He was the project manager for the construction and design of the Canadian headquarters in Milton, Ontario, which is equipped with state-of-the-art security. He is an Advisory Board member of GBTA (Global Business Travel Association), a member of ASIS (the American Society of Industrial Security, IAAI (the International Association of Arson Investigators), HRPAO (the Human Resource Professionals Association of Ontario), and its Manitoba counterpart HRMAM.

Edward Zukowski

Vice President of Human Resources

Mr. Ed Zukowski is the Vice President of Human Resources for FocusPoint International. Ed brings over 25 years of human resources, training, and employee development experience to his role at FocusPoint. Prior to joining the FocusPoint International team, Ed held the top HR role for a Cleveland based corporation for over six years with earlier career roles in operations, training, and management. Core competencies include experience in conflict resolution, employee counseling, workplace safety, accident investigation and documentation, benefits administration, government compliance, corporate-level recruiting, policy and procedure creation & adherence, culture, and employee engagement.

Mr. Zukowski is a member of The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and served for three consecutive years on the business advisory committee for United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a human resources option from Penn State University and completed management continuing education classes at Cornell University.

Mr. David Mace is an Executive Vice President for FocusPoint International and responsible for managing the company’s product strategy and the insurance and financial services vertical. David was formerly a market entry consultant for a UK-based boutique specialty lines facility supported by Lloyd’s of London. David brings over 15 years of experience in crisis and risk management services marketing, underwriting and advisory of kidnap for ransom, international casualty, high-limit personal and occupational accident, and product contamination/recall risk exposures. He is trilingual, speaking Spanish and English both as a mother-tongue, and French.

David’s career in Crisis Management began at AIG, where he became Zonal Assistant Vice President for the Southwest United States. David has advised multinational companies primarily in the oil and gas, food and beverage, and technology industries, large non-profit entities with diverse international projects, and small businesses, and high net worth individuals requiring risk management advice on hostile environment operations and asset protection preparedness. His work experience and geographic areas of expertise include North, Central and South America, Europe, and North and Sub-Saharan Africa.

David received an International Politics & Economics (IPE) degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. His IPE work also involved a semester program in Comparative Politics and Middle Eastern culture studies at the Paris Institut d’Études Politiques “Sciences Po”. After working for Deloitte & Touche Consulting and the United Nations Development Program in Honduras and Central America, Mr. Mace later earned his International MBA from ASU’s Thunderbird Graduate School for International Business in Arizona, where he was distinguished with Pi Sigma Alpha honors for political science studies. David holds the following insurance advisor/solicitor licenses; general lines agent, surplus lines broker, re-insurance manager, and continuing education state-approved provider.

Jim Chiacchia is the Vice President of Strategic Development for FocusPoint International. As a business development leader and international risk intelligence and security practitioner, Jim has worked extensively in the global security and crisis response market for the past decade. Jim’s core competencies and areas of focus are centered around travel risk management and crisis response, with an emphasis on kidnap for ransom and extortion response, political risks, and natural and man-made disasters.

Prior to entering the global risk and security space, Jim spent over a decade in high-level sales, business development, and strategic account management, where he traveled extensively in support of business and client needs. Jim is a 28-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His assignments included serving as a legal advisor for a counter-terrorism task force operating in Afghanistan and other locations, Chief of Iraqi Army Operations for the Iraq Assistance Group at Camp Victory, Iraq, and as Officer-in-Charge of the Phoenix Academy in Taji, Iraq. Finally, before retiring in 2013, he was the executive officer of a marine support squadron with over 600 marines and sailors supporting combat operations globally.

Jim is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Naval Justice School, and Marine Corps University Command & Staff College. He earned his J.D. from New England Law, Boston. He remains active in the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), the Risk Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and other industry-specific organizations.

Manny Fernandez

Mr. Manny Fernandez is the Vice President of Global Operations at FocusPoint International. As VP of Global Ops, Manny is responsible for the execution of medical, security, travel risk intelligence and crisis response operations. Mr. Fernandez has over 28 years of law enforcement experience, including a 21-year career as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service (USSS). Manny is an engaging executive leader, possessing a winning blend of subject matter expertise, skill in risk mitigation strategies, and practical experience in mission-critical environments.

As part of the USSS, Manny was charged with conducting criminal investigations and protecting the nation’s leaders, their families, and visiting heads of state. Manny has a proven history of delivering results on investigations, physical security, and executive protection for subjects that have included the President of the United States. Over the course of his career in the USSS, Manny has had several assignments to include 6 years in the Dignitary and Presidential Protective Divisions, Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) with the Protective Intelligence Division and an Assistant Attaché assignment in Paris, France.

Mr. Fernandez has trained numerous domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies on investigative and protection techniques. He is an accomplished professional providing vulnerability and threat assessments for sites of all sizes in advance of the President’s visit, from small town hall venues to large capacity stadiums.

Manny is a United States Army Gulf War veteran, where he served with distinction as an Air Traffic Controller. Manny holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College and is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Director Business Development

Involved in the security industry for over 15 years, Mrs. Septien has experience in identifying and building up innovative risk management solutions and programs, aligning the security function with the business objectives of the organizations. She has worked for several multinational corporations.

She has experience in the fields of Corporate Security, Crisis and Risk Management, Business Continuity and Corporate and Executive Security Training.

Mrs. Septien has a bachelor degree in Information Systems by the Anahuac University, obtaining the award as best student in Campus and receiving a Suma Cum Laude in 1988. She got the certification DSE from the University of Comillas, Madrid, Spain as Director of Enterprise Security through a diplomat in 2015. She has received intensive training in Corporate Security, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Executive Protection, Information Security, among many others.

She is the Regional Liaison for WIS (Women in Security) for Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean for ASIS International.

Samridhi Talwar

Mrs. Samridhi Talwar is the Director of Strategic Development for FocusPoint Global Risk Services India Private Limited. Samridhi is an industry specialist with over 12 years of proven experience in the security and risk management space. Samridhi has successfully led diverse teams within sales, account management, and operations departments.

Samridhi’s experience and exposure include living and working overseas while managing a 24hr operation center for emergency assistance. Her core competencies include crisis emergency management, medical and security assistance, data, and information management. She has a great insight towards Business Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Duty of Care. She is also focused on identifying, planning, and executing strategic partnerships leading to organic growth. Samridhi is passionate about identifying her clients’ needs and offering them solutions to help manage their business and travel risks.

Samridhi has traveled globally and worked extensively in and throughout Asia. Samridhi has earned her education in Economics Hons from Delhi University- Delhi College of Arts and Commerce. She is an active member of OSAC and ASIS New Delhi Chapter. A champion of advocating on behalf of women in senior leadership roles, Samridhi routinely participates in industry-specific speaking engagements and as a panelist to discuss Women in Security at global events like the IFSEC.

Christopher Palmieri is the Senior Director of Strategic Development at FocusPoint International, where he is responsible for enterprise and channel sales, strategic development, client implementation, and account management. Christopher’s areas of expertise are focused and centered around customizing travel risk and crisis management response programs for corporations, educational institutions, tour operators, and channel partners, as he brings just under a decade of experience in the global security and crisis response industry.

Prior to entering the travel risk and crisis management industry, Chris spent over 15 years in executive management positions, ranging from the director to chief sales officer level, while working for such companies as Wells Fargo, Option One (a former division of H&R Block), Monster Worldwide and AlphaGen Systems.

Chris is a lifelong resident of New England, growing up in Rhode Island and currently residing in Massachusetts. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Salve Regina University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and served in the United States Naval Reserves, receiving an honorable discharge in 2003.

As VP of Global Ops, Manny is responsible for the execution of medical, security, travel risk intelligence and crisis response operations. Mr. Fernandez has over 28 years of law enforcement experience, including a 21-year career as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service (USSS). Manny is an engaging executive leader, possessing a winning blend of subject matter expertise, skill in risk mitigation strategies, and practical experience in mission-critical environments.

As part of the USSS, Manny was charged with conducting criminal investigations and protecting the nation’s leaders, their families, and visiting heads of state. Manny has a proven history of delivering results on investigations, physical security, and executive protection for subjects that have included the President of the United States. Over the course of his career in the USSS, Manny has had several assignments to include 6 years in the Dignitary and Presidential Protective Divisions, Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) with the Protective Intelligence Division and an Assistant Attaché assignment in Paris, France.

Mr. Fernandez has trained numerous domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies on investigative and protection techniques. He is an accomplished professional providing vulnerability and threat assessments for sites of all sizes in advance of the President’s visit, from small town hall venues to large capacity stadiums.

Manny is a United States Army Gulf War veteran, where he served with distinction as an Air Traffic Controller. Manny holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College and is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Maria Teresa Septien

Director Business Development

Involved in the security industry for over 15 years, Mrs. Septien has experience in identifying and building up innovative risk management solutions and programs, aligning the security function with the business objectives of the organizations. She has worked for several multinational corporations.

She has experience in the fields of Corporate Security, Crisis and Risk Management, Business Continuity and Corporate and Executive Security Training.

Mrs. Septien has a bachelor degree in Information Systems by the Anahuac University, obtaining the award as best student in Campus and receiving a Suma Cum Laude in 1988. She got the certification DSE from the University of Comillas, Madrid, Spain as Director of Enterprise Security through a diplomat in 2015. She has received intensive training in Corporate Security, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Executive Protection, Information Security, among many others.

She is the Regional Liaison for WIS (Women in Security) for Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean for ASIS International.

Samridhi Talwar

Mrs. Samridhi Talwar is the Director of Strategic Development for FocusPoint Global Risk Services India Private Limited. Samridhi is an industry specialist with over 12 years of proven experience in the security and risk management space. Samridhi has successfully led diverse teams within sales, account management, and operations departments.

Samridhi’s experience and exposure include living and working overseas while managing a 24hr operation center for emergency assistance. Her core competencies include crisis emergency management, medical and security assistance, data, and information management. She has a great insight towards Business Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Duty of Care. She is also focused on identifying, planning, and executing strategic partnerships leading to organic growth. Samridhi is passionate about identifying her clients’ needs and offering them solutions to help manage their business and travel risks.

Samridhi has traveled globally and worked extensively in and throughout Asia. Samridhi has earned her education in Economics Hons from Delhi University- Delhi College of Arts and Commerce. She is an active member of OSAC and ASIS New Delhi Chapter. A champion of advocating on behalf of women in senior leadership roles, Samridhi routinely participates in industry-specific speaking engagements and as a panelist to discuss Women in Security at global events like the IFSEC.

Chris Palmieri

Senior Director, Strategic Development

Christopher Palmieri is the Senior Director of Strategic Development at FocusPoint International, where he is responsible for enterprise and channel sales, strategic development, client implementation, and account management. Christopher’s areas of expertise are focused and centered around customizing travel risk and crisis management response programs for corporations, educational institutions, tour operators, and channel partners, as he brings just under a decade of experience in the global security and crisis response industry.

Prior to entering the travel risk and crisis management industry, Chris spent over 15 years in executive management positions, ranging from the director to chief sales officer level, while working for such companies as Wells Fargo, Option One (a former division of H&R Block), Monster Worldwide and AlphaGen Systems.

Chris is a lifelong resident of New England, growing up in Rhode Island and currently residing in Massachusetts. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Salve Regina University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and served in the United States Naval Reserves, receiving an honorable discharge in 2003.

Mr. Haight plans, directs, supervises, and executes the delivery of evacuations and personal protective operations for high profile corporate and private sector clients traveling in the United States and high-risk environments abroad. As well, he provides security and business-related consulting for corporate and private sector clients, government contractors, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). With a significant background in Crisis Management and Crisis Response, Mr. Haight assists clients in developing crisis management and crisis response plans and training. Mr. Haight manages the Crisis Assistance Team (CAT) in support of Crisis Response to clients globally. He has participated in multiple evacuations of clients from hostile environments throughout the world. Mr. Haight has traveled to various high-risk countries in support of the US Government, its contractors, and FocusPoint International clients, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Mr. Haight has traveled extensively on every continent except Antarctica. He has over 30 years of law enforcement and security experience, having served as a Police Sergeant in a major California metropolitan police agency and as a Supervisory Special Agent with the US Departments of Treasury and Justice. Doc has extensive experience in conducting Protective Operations, having served on various Protective Details in support of the United States Secret Service and the US State Department. He has also provided security for a variety of high-profile celebrities and high-net-worth individuals in the US and abroad. Mr. Haight served as a Hospital Corpsman (medic) with the United States Navy and served as a Platoon Corpsman with both Navy and Marine Corps Units. His last assignment in the Navy was to a Naval Security Group.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from the University of the State of New York and a master’s degree in Strategic Intelligence from the American Military University. Doc is bilingual in English and Spanish. Mr. Haight is a member of a Northern California Search and Rescue Team and is a certified military freefall parachutist and combat swimmer.

Michael Roberts is a Senior Director of Strategic Development for FocusPoint International. Michael has over a decade of experience working as a risk management and medical assistance professional. He has led complex consulting engagements across several industries dealing with physical security, crisis management, and business continuity, medical emergencies, evacuations, fraud and corruption investigations, kidnap for ransom events, supply chain risks, and other sensitive issues that can severely impact an organization’s personnel, assets, and business operations. Prior to joining FocusPoint, he was an independent contractor for three years, working directly for clients and supporting International SOS in the security and medical assistance fields. Michael also worked for the global risk consultancy firm Control Risks in Mexico City and Houston, Texas, for seven years.

Michael has extensive experience in Latin America, where he lived and worked in Mexico for over 20 years. Before entering the risk consultancy field, he worked with developers and hotel operators for luxury hotel developments in Mexico, such as Fairmont and Rosewood hotels and notably the Mayakoba project in the Riviera Maya and served as a consultant to a variety of other interests entering the market. He also founded and operated a company dedicated to the commercialization of scientific instrumentation in Mexico for environmental quality monitoring.

Michael holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an MBA from the Mexican university Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). He is fluent in Spanish.

Sarah Spolander is the Director of Operations in Cape Town, South Africa. She has 18 years of proven experience in the crisis management and assistance industry with a 13-year focus on building an operations center and leading multidisciplinary teams, including intelligence analysts, security, customer services, and IT.

Ms. Spolander’s core competencies include building highly motivated and resilient teams to service clients requiring intelligence, crisis management, travel management, and security assistance. She successfully implemented the Information Security and Quality Management Systems, ISO 27001 and 9001 qualifications, ensuring continuous improvement in process and service delivery and a commitment to information security. For a year, Sarah lived abroad and was involved in supporting the sales team on the implementation front, gaining valuable knowledge and understanding of the banking and insurance markets.

Sarah completed her Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science from the University of Cape Town, which got her into the industry as a political risk analyst. She subsequently enrolled in the Accelerated Directorship Programme (ADP) and joined the Institute of Directors (IoD).
