Aja Martinez Chief Product Officer
Aja Martinez brings over two decades of experience in the consumer electronics and wireless industry to her role as Chief Product Officer for FocusPoint International. Her career is marked by a passionate commitment to product innovation and strategic leadership. Aja's unique ability to blend user insights with technology and design has led to the creation of groundbreaking products and has positioned her as a visionary in the field.

Before joining us, Aja served as Chief Technical Officer at Bullitt Group Ltd, where she was the driving force behind the company's long-term technology strategy and innovation. Her tenure at Bullitt Group also saw her spearhead the product strategy, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive solutions for brand partners. Aja's leadership skills were further demonstrated in her roles as Senior Vice President of Innovation and Vice President of Product Portfolio, where she managed teams to deliver significant growth and developed a robust IP portfolio.

Aja's journey in the tech industry began at T-Mobile USA, progressing through roles that showcased her versatility and strategic thinking. Her achievements include implementing product changes that resulted in exponential sales growth and enhancing user experiences to increase Data ARPU.

Aja holds a Master's in Project Management from George Washington University School of Business, underlining her expertise in leading complex projects and her commitment to continuous learning.

Edward Zukowski Vice President of Human Resources
Mr. Ed Zukowski is the Vice President of Human Resources for FocusPoint International. Ed brings over 25 years of human resources, training, and employee development experience to his role at FocusPoint. Prior to joining the FocusPoint International team, Ed held the top HR role for a Cleveland based corporation for over six years with earlier career roles in operations, training, and management. Core competencies include experience in conflict resolution, employee counseling, workplace safety, accident investigation and documentation, benefits administration, government compliance, corporate-level recruiting, policy and procedure creation & adherence, culture, and employee engagement.

Mr. Zukowski is a member of The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and served for three consecutive years on the business advisory committee for United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a human resources option from Penn State University and completed management continuing education classes at Cornell University.

Manny Fernandez Vice President, Global Operations
Mr. Manny Fernandez is the Vice President of Global Operations at FocusPoint International. As VP of Global Ops, Manny is responsible for the execution of medical, security, travel risk intelligence and crisis response operations. Mr. Fernandez has over 28 years of law enforcement experience, including a 21-year career as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service (USSS). Manny is an engaging executive leader, possessing a winning blend of subject matter expertise, skill in risk mitigation strategies, and practical experience in mission-critical environments.

As part of the USSS, Manny was charged with conducting criminal investigations and protecting the nation’s leaders, their families, and visiting heads of state. Manny has a proven history of delivering results on investigations, physical security, and executive protection for subjects that have included the President of the United States. Over the course of his career in the USSS, Manny has had several assignments to include 6 years in the Dignitary and Presidential Protective Divisions, Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) with the Protective Intelligence Division and an Assistant Attaché assignment in Paris, France.

Mr. Fernandez has trained numerous domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies on investigative and protection techniques. He is an accomplished professional providing vulnerability and threat assessments for sites of all sizes in advance of the President’s visit, from small town hall venues to large capacity stadiums.

Manny is a United States Army Gulf War veteran, where he served with distinction as an Air Traffic Controller. Manny holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College and is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Chris Palmieri Vice President, Strategic Development
Mr. Christopher Palmieri is a seasoned executive with over a decade of experience in the global security and crisis response industry. As Vice President of Strategic Development at FocusPoint International, he oversees enterprise and channel sales, strategic development, client implementation, and account management. His expertise lies in designing and implementing tailored travel risk and crisis management programs for corporations, educational institutions, tour operators, and channel partners.

Before transitioning into the travel risk and crisis management sector, Chris held executive management roles for more than 15 years. He served in leadership capacities ranging from Director to Chief Sales Officer at prominent organizations, including Wells Fargo, Option One (a former division of H&R Block), Monster Worldwide, Global Rescue, and AlphaGen Systems.

A lifelong New England resident, Chris grew up in Rhode Island and currently resides in Massachusetts. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Salve Regina University with a bachelor's degree in Finance and honorably served in the United States Naval Reserves.

Hector Roman Director of Global Response
Mr. Roman oversees the execution of global response operations, including high-risk evacuations, tactical rescue coordination, and crisis management support across complex environments. With over two decades of combined military and civilian experience, he has led operations in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, supporting elite U.S. military units and multinational partners.

As a former Senior Enlisted Leader within U.S. Naval Special Operations and Special Operations Command South, Mr. Roman has directed mission planning, threat assessments, and international site evaluations in support of global security and emergency operations. He has also coordinated fixed-wing evacuations as a flight medic, supervised municipal emergency services, and trained allied forces in combat rescue and tactical operations.

Mr. Roman holds degrees in Emergency Medical Services, Fire Science Technology, and Nursing, and is completing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, maintains an active Secret Security Clearance, and brings deep regional expertise in operational environments across multiple continents.

Sarah Spolander Operations Director - Cape Town, SA
Sarah Spolander is the Director of Operations in Cape Town, South Africa. She has 18 years of proven experience in the crisis management and assistance industry with a 13-year focus on building an operations center and leading multidisciplinary teams, including intelligence analysts, security, customer services, and IT.

Ms. Spolander’s core competencies include building highly motivated and resilient teams to service clients requiring intelligence, crisis management, travel management, and security assistance. She successfully implemented the Information Security and Quality Management Systems, ISO 27001 and 9001 qualifications, ensuring continuous improvement in process and service delivery and a commitment to information security. For a year, Sarah lived abroad and was involved in supporting the sales team on the implementation front, gaining valuable knowledge and understanding of the banking and insurance markets.

Sarah completed her Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science from the University of Cape Town, which got her into the industry as a political risk analyst. She subsequently enrolled in the Accelerated Directorship Programme (ADP) and joined the Institute of Directors (IoD).

Stephanie Kluver Operations Director - Sunrise, FL
Stephanie Kluver is the Operations Director at FocusPoint International. In close consultation with FocusPoint’s Chief Medical Officer, she is responsible for the execution of all medical intake, triage, case management, and transports globally. Stephanie is well versed in all aspects of air medical transportation, with over 25 years of combined experience in emergency medical services and fixed-wing critical care air ambulance transports.

Stephanie is a native Floridian that began her Emergency Medical Services career in 1993 as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and progressed to a certified Paramedic. She served as a Field Training Officer for new EMTs and paramedics and, in 2004, was awarded Paramedic of the Year for Outstanding Service to the Community.

Ms. Kluver spent a considerable amount of time in the air ambulance sector as a Senior Flight Paramedic for a world-renowned fixed-wing company providing global critical care. In her role as a Senior Flight Paramedic, Stephanie provided education to paramedics, critical care paramedics, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors in critical care transport. Before joining the FocusPoint team, Ms. Kluver was the Transport Manager for a membership-based company that provided air ambulance evacuation, commercial medical escorts, and repatriation benefits. Stephanie received her Associate Degree in Nursing and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

David Mace Senior Advisor, Indemnified Solutions
David Mace is a Senior Advisor at FocusPoint International and a Producer at Risko Strategies, LLC. He partners with FocusPoint’s executive team to drive product strategy and place indemnity solutions that align with complex risk finance goals. Previously the Executive Vice President of Product at FocusPoint, David also served as a Producer for Lockton Affinity and the Latitude Risks MGA. Before that, he advised a UK-based Lloyd’s-backed specialty lines facility on U.S. market entry.

With over 20 years in crisis and risk management, David specializes in underwriting and advising on kidnap-for-ransom, international casualty, high-limit accident, and product recall exposures. He began his career at AIG, rising to Zonal Assistant Vice President for the Southwest U.S. He has advised global corporations in energy, food, tech, major nonprofits, and high-net-worth individuals operating in hostile environments.

His regional expertise spans the Americas, Europe, and Africa. David holds a degree in International Politics & Economics from Middlebury College and an International MBA from Thunderbird (ASU), with honors in political science. His studies also included comparative politics at Sciences Po in Paris. He is licensed as a general lines agent, surplus lines broker, reinsurance manager, and CE provider. Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, David’s multi-lingual experience and exposure is leveraged across verticals at FocusPoint to support the placement of fully indemnified, industry-leading travel risk management and emergency assistance services in the direct-to-consumer, B2B and channel distribution ecosystems.

Randy Haight Senior Advisor
Randy Haight serves as a Senior Advisor to FocusPoint International, providing strategic guidance and subject matter expertise on a project basis following his retirement from full-time service. With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in law enforcement, federal service, and global security operations, Randy continues to play a key role in supporting FocusPoint’s mission to deliver world-class crisis response solutions.

In his former role as Senior Director of Crisis Response, Randy was instrumental in leading high-risk evacuations and personal protection operations for corporate and private clients around the world. He also managed FocusPoint’s Crisis Assistance Team (CAT), providing rapid-response solutions in complex and hostile environments. His operational experience includes deployments in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Randy’s background includes service as a Police Sergeant in a major California metropolitan police department and as a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Departments of Treasury and Justice. He has supported protective operations alongside the U.S. Secret Service and State Department and has provided security for high-profile individuals globally.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Randy served as a Hospital Corpsman with both Navy and Marine Corps units, concluding his military service with the Naval Security Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a master’s degree in Strategic Intelligence. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and remains actively involved in search and rescue operations in Northern California.

Matthew Mitchell Senior Advisor - SAR Operations
Mr. Matthew Mitchell is the Senior Advisor of SAR Operations at FocusPoint International. As Senior Advisor, Matthew plays a crucial role in training, coaching, and leading Operations Support Specialists (OSS) personnel and supervisors as they deliver world-class emergency assistance to diverse clients across the globe. Matthew has more than 24 years of military and law enforcement experience, including a 20-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) where he specialized in Search and Rescue (SAR) coordination.

As an officer in the USCG, Matthew was charged with managing four U.S. Rescue Coordination Centers (RCCs) and Rescue Sub-Centers (RSCs), developing national-level SAR policies and procedures, and overseeing a team of scientists and operations experts in developing the world’s premier search planning software. Matthew has traveled extensively, training dozens of partner nation’s maritime services, and has had the honor of leading teams through thousands of natural disasters, mass rescue operations, and SAR responses. His extensive career saw operations throughout the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii.

Matthew is a twice published author and he led or participated in many novel initiatives to improve the global SAR system to include the study of cognitive biases on SAR decision making, the development of a national continuous improvement program, and the mitigation of psychological impacts from SAR operations on responders.

Matthew was awarded the Coast Guard’s inaugural Human Resources Management Award for Excellence for his role in the historic response to Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Among his military awards are five Meritorious Service Medals with the Operational Distinguishing Device and various other personal and unit awards. He was given the distinction of being named an Honorary Chief Petty Officer by the 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard in 2021. He holds two master’s degrees in criminal justice and theology.

Stéphane Boisvert Strategic Partnership Advisor: Telco
Mr. Stéphane Boisvert is a Strategic Partnership Advisor for FocusPoint International, based in Montreal, Canada. Stéphane is a bilingual (French/English) executive with more than 30 years’ leadership experience spanning telecom, cloud computing, and digital transformation. Stéphane has built his career on bridging technological innovation with business outcomes, especially within the telecom ecosystem, where he has led go-to-market growth, SaaS/IaaS platform strategy, and agile/dev-op-driven operating models.

In the telecom sector, Stéphane has successfully navigated complex B2B and operator landscapes: aligning enterprise customers, service providers, and public-sector partners to deliver scalable, next-generation solutions. His expertise includes:
• Designing and deploying cloud ecosystems (SaaS, IaaS) that support telecom service innovation.
• Implementing agile and paired-development methodologies and establishing DevOps organizational structures to accelerate solution delivery.
